Introduction

Open Journal Systems (OJS) is an open source “journal management and publishing system” developed by the federally funded Public Knowledge Project. Other PKP projects include Open Conference Systems (OCS), Open Monograph Press (OMP), and Open Harvester Systems (OHS).

OJS provides support for the various phases of publishing an on-line journal, including submission and peer review, publication, indexing and archiving. The software is customizable – follow this link for some screenshots of existing journals using OJS.
