ePortfolios at CUNY:  Universal Concerns

Our goal for Fall 2010 is to develop this wiki into something like an article to be shared with the CUNY ePortfolio community.  This wiki is intended as a resource. 

The following represent preliminary items identfied by subcommittee members as universal concerns in the development of ePortfolios. 

• Template: complete customizability – a fully regimented template
• The relationship between platform, Blackboard, CSI and individual college IT staffs: completely independent from Blackboard – fully integrated with Bb (near universal agreement on the need for independence from Bb)
• Showcasing: entirely internal class to audiences outside CUNY
• Hosting: vendor or college
• Function: assessment versus digital narrative
• Privacy settings: students – university
• ADA compliance: meeting legal standards – full accessibility
• Intellectual property
